What file type(s) do I need to submit to personalize and foil stamp my album?
For our 3”x3” personalization area, we accept files in AI. We highly suggest you submit your logo or personalized artwork in AI (Adobe Illustrator – a software used by graphic designers) as our designer outlines the design which helps carve out the exact mold for the foil stamp. Depending on how intricate the design is, some minor details might be eliminated if the file is too small to be outlined and made for the mold. Through this process, we will require you to review and verify our final outline before we push everything into production. Upon approval, Amber Concept will not be held responsible for overlooked errors when the album process has begun.
Please be aware that depending on which series you choose for your cover, due to the nature of the material, any intricate designs on your artwork may not stamp precisely. This may occur with our Woven Series and Coral Series lines, as some of the heavier loomed combined with the style of any small design or thin text may not stamp well due to the placement and how the weave or material is interlaced.
What are the file requirements?
Amber accepts album spreads in JPG format. For logos, we accept AI. We recommend minimum 300 dpi for all your images, and require them to be RGB or sRGB, 8-bit.

Can I have single page, or right start page in the front and/or back?
Yes, this is standard in our photo artbook. A black page is included in the front and back of our artbook, and an additional translucent fly page already included in the front free of charge.
What type of paper thickness options are there?
Amber is using a high quality fine art paper that is waterproof and scratch proof. Currently, we have only 1 type of thickness for both artbooks and albums.
What are your paper choices?
For our photo albums and artbook, we offer fine art paper only. For gallery canvases, we print on acrylic, metal plate, wood, PU leather, and more. Watch for website updates to see our latest additions.
What is unique about the type of paper Amber uses?
Our fine art paper is waterproof and scratch proof that will last for a lifetime. Our printing is resistant to “lightfastness,” a term describing how paper fades and color changes when exposed to light, natural or artificial. When tested by Wilhelm Imaging Research (WIR) for both color fading and changing, our prints performed better than other printing technologies.
That said, you should still always keep your albums in a safe place.
Is the paper recyclable?
Yes! We strive to keep our footprint as green as possible. Our ink complies with the Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act 21 U.S. C 201 (FFDCA). It doesn’t contain lead, cadmium, mercury or hexavalent chromium, or any substance listed under both US federal list of Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP) and California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.
I would love to learn more about the printing process. Can you tell me more?
Our photos are printed by advanced digital presses. This process has been tested by independent print permanence institute, Wilhelm Imaging Research (WIR). Results from this test have shown that albums can be stored for more than 200 years, and prints can be on display for up to 54 years before any noticeable signs of fading or changes in color.
Is your printing Eco-friendly?
Yes!
